It is with great excitement that I announce that I will be serving as the Principal for Unity Concord International School. I am thrilled to become part of the UCIS family and thank you all for the warm welcome. I look forward to the upcoming year with great excitement and am thrilled to be celebrating my 16th year in international education with everyone at UCIS.
I believe a school community should be an environment where expectations for continued growth are coupled with a collaborative environment where administrators, teachers and students are enabled to succeed through professional development and reflective practice. Our success involves collaboration within school departments, as well as with individuals and organizations outside of the school. Parent groups, student groups, government and private organizations all have unique perspectives and should be embraced as collaborative stakeholders. Through collaboration, and open dialogue with all members of the community, meaningful action can be taken in order to facilitate continual school improvement.
Students are the primary focus of everything we do at UCIS. Our focus should be to continually improve teaching and learning while creating a safe, inclusive environment for all. Our goal is to differentiate learning so that all students are appropriately challenged but supported. I believe our community should encourage connections between students, their community, parents, teachers and the world. Students need to realize that they must play a role in the betterment of their community as a whole as they endeavor to become global-minded citizens. This will give the students real-life skills that will make them a productive part of our global society.
Thank you in advance for your assistance in helping us achieve these goals.

I began my teaching career as a grade six English Teacher in the New York Schools system. I have had the privilege of working in schools in Japan, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Albania and will be celebrating my 16th year in international education with you.
