On Friday, May 10, 2019 the Thai Academics Department of Unity Concord International School will be hosting our Thai Culture Day from 9:00 A.M – 11:45 A.M. This activity is to give both Thai and International students the opportunity to learn about Thai culture. We will begin with a parade for the water blessing ceremony, after the opening ceremony students will move to their assigned booths for different activities for their grade level. Students will participate in different activities as follows:

  • Exhibition Booth- This will show the assignments and activities of students from all grade levels who have studied Thai language. Students who have participated in contests for Thai class and were chosen as the winners will receive a prize.

  • Game and Prize Booth- students from Grades 9 -11 will supervise this booth. Students will participate in different games and be able to win a prize.

  • Food Market Booth- students from Grade 5 – Grade 8 – students will be able to taste many Thai foods and Thai snacks.

  • Sand Art building competition from Grade 3 & Grade 4 students.

The Thai academics department would like to invite parents/guardians to join us for Thai Culture Day during the time allocated to support and encourage our students. We ask that students and parents/guardians who will join us to please wear a Traditional Thai outfit or Northern Thai outfit so that we truly have the Thai culture atmosphere on this day. Thank you for your cooperation.

Our Grade 8 science class had great fun making ball launchers recently. We're sure all the parents are delighted with this! :)

Grade 3a also completed a science experiment recently by learning how liquids go from solids to gas. You'll be glad to know that there were no projectiles involved this time :)

Recently, Grade 4A finished their science projects on the solar system and presented their planets to the class. The students worked hard and did a great job with presenting the information they found.
