UCIS Blog - Thai Day Special

Unity Concord International School hosted our annual Thai Culture Day last Friday. Our Unity 1 students had such a great time celebrating language and culture on Thai Day. Several of our students performed traditional Thai dances, and demonstrated traditional Thai games. Thank you to our Thai language teachers and staff for a tremendous job preparing our campus for the event.

At Unity 2, this year parents were invited to join the ceremony. In U2, Student and Teacher representatives participated in a special “Rod Nam Dam Hua” ceremony where blessings were given from our School Director and Superintendent.

Students Thai work and projects were on display for everyone to see. Several students put on a traditional Thai dance show. The highlight of today was the sand castle building competition between Grades 3 & 4 and the “Kad Mua” Thai market where students were happy to participate. Grade 3B took 1st place in the sand castle competition. We were happy to see all of their sand art creations, as all the students were very creative. Overall it was a fun time and we thank everyone who participated to make today such a success at Unity Concord International School.

All proceeds that were raised will be given to the interact club who will be visiting "The Ban Pak Dek Phraporn Orphanage in Chiang Rai" on May 24-26, 2019.
