Welcome to our daily update, there is a lot to cover here so please read to the end!
Sports
UCIS's U12 Boys Soccer team was eliminated from the CMAC Championship Tournament on Wednesday, January 30th after playing 3 games of pool play. The Falcons got off to a strong start in the tournament after defeating American Pacific International School by a score of 2-1. The Falcons then faced-off against Nakornpayap International School - the eventual tournament champions - and lost 3-0. In their third and final game against Prem Tinsulanonda International School, the Falcons suffered another 3-0 defeat. The outcome of game 3 sent Prem to the semi-finals.
Congratulations to Coaches Maikon and Marcio and to all of the U12 boys soccer players for a successful first season competing in CMAC!

UCIS's U14 Boys Soccer team was eliminated from the CMAC Championship Tournament after 3 hard fought games on Thursday, January 31st. In game 1 of the tournament, the Falcons suffered a 6-3 loss to Prem Tinsulanonda International School. In game 2, the Falcons were losing 1-0 in the first half before scoring 3 unanswered goals to defeat Nakornpayap International School by a score of 3-1. In game 3, the Falcons had an impressive performance against Grace International School with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.
Unfortunately the Falcons record of 1 win, 1 loss, and 1 draw was not enough to advance to the semi-final round, but their tournament performance was fantastic and a display of the amazing growth that the team accomplished over the course of the season.

Parent Teacher Association @ U2
We had our first ever PTA meeting at Unity recently with 25 parents attending. It was a very successful meeting with a lot of important points being discussed. The next meeting will be held on Thursday 28th February. Please email Margaret for more information - deputyprincipal@ucis.ac.th
Fire Drill
We recently held a fire drill at U2 to ensure all staff and students are prepared in the unlikely event of a fire at U2. We anticipate to hold a drill regularly throughout the year.
100 Days of School
We just celebrated our 100th day of school this year (2018/19) which means we are more than half way through the school year! Some staff and students dressed up to mark the occasion :)
ABS Student Council
ABS's student council representatives came to visit to update us on the joint school valentines dance and also to show off some of their talents! It is great to have the opportunity to learn off of an existing and well established student council :)
